Spanish 3 — Objectives

End of First Lesson

Outcome:  The students apply the past tense in different activities, (listening, speaking and writing).  The use the workbook page 9 and the textbook pages 54-55. 

There is a Lesson one test tomorrow for B-day students and Friday for A-day students.  STUDY VOCABULARY AND GRAMMAR.  USE CLASSZONE TO REVIEW.

Verbos irregulares

Outcome:

Apply irregular verbs in the past tense.

1. Review the past tense

2. Study page 42 and do act. 13

3. Practice the irregular (siging)

4.  Write 10 sentences using the irregular verbs.

5. HW – WB page 7

Past Tense (regular and irregular verbs)

Outcome:  Apply preterite tense in different activities.

HW: workbook page 6

Unidad I Mexico

Outcome:
Apply preterite tense in diverse activities (using vocabulary from the unit).
1. We will check the assigned HW page 22-23 from textbook.
2. Quiz (Preliminar grammar)
3. Do page 15 in WB.
4. Start illustration of activities

Unit I Vocabulary and grammar

Outcome: Apply camping vocabulary and describe outdoor activities.
1. Review – stem changing verbs p. 10-11.
2. Discussed WB homework p. 1-2
3. Practice the new vocabulary
Homework: Study for a Quiz that will include:
a. ser, estar, ir
b. stem-changing verbs
c. irregulars in first person (yo)

Unit 1- Lesson I Mexico

Outcome: Describe a camping trip and talk about nature
The students will learn information about Mexico; review grammar concepts and will be introduced to new vocabulary. They will receive two practice handouts.
Homework: WB page 1 and 2. Remember to bring the tissue box decorated with Spanish vocabulary by Friday.

Homework to be pick up next week

Outcome:
Review and apply basic skills in different exercises. The students will practice using the Spanish 3 book as a resource. The students will do the following activities from the textbook: p.4 act. 1,2; p5 act. 3 (write the complete paragraph in the present tense; p8 act. 4-5 and p.9 act. 6.

Tarea: Remember to bring the decorated tissue box or the hand sanitazer next week.

La copa mundial de fútbol

La canción del Waka Waka fue un exito durante los juegos de la copa del mundo.  Shakira al igual que Juanes estuvieron en Africa del Sur representando a todos los hispanoparlantes del mundo.  Bravo por estos dos cantantes famosos al igual que España la ganadora del a “Copa Mundial de futbol”.

Outcome: Spanish III:  Know and implement classroom rules and routines

The students received the following:

Textbook and workbook and course syllabus.  Homework:  Bring course syllabus form signed, box of tissue decorated with 20 or more Spanish words or a decorated bottle of hand sanitazer.  To be turned in on Monday for A-day students and on Tuesday for B-day students.

Activity done in class:  The students wrote a paragraph introducing themselves and shared information with the rest of the class.
